Elle consiste en 2 h de cours hebdomadaires de novembre \u00e0 mars suivant le programme officiel impos\u00e9 par les IChO qui regroupe la quasi-totalit\u00e9 du programme de chimie de PCSI ainsi que des chapitres de PC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L\u2019\u00e9preuve \u00e9crite de pr\u00e9s\u00e9lection se d\u00e9roule fin mars et permet de s\u00e9lectionner les 24 meilleurs candidats de toute la France. Les candidats s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9s se rendent ensuite \u00e0 Paris, au lyc\u00e9e Pierre-Gilles de Gennes (ENCPB), pour suivre un stage d\u2019une semaine afin de perfectionner les comp\u00e9tences exp\u00e9rimentales et effectuer diff\u00e9rentes visites autour de la chimie (laboratoires de recherche et\/ou \u00e9coles). Ce stage se conclut par des \u00e9preuves \u00e9crites et exp\u00e9rimentales de s\u00e9lection. Les 4 meilleurs candidats int\u00e8grent la d\u00e9l\u00e9gation fran\u00e7aise qui repr\u00e9sentera la France \u00e0 la finale internationale.
